From the pulpit – Easter Sunday 2017

“We are the Easter people, and Hallelujah is our song”

(quote – Pope John Paul II)

Announcements from the Sunday Service

Coming up :

Wednesday 19th Apr – Open hour. 11:00am to 12:00 noon.  A little time for you to enjoy some quiet in our sanctuary, escaping from the hectic demands of a busy life.

Sunday 23rd April – Bible Study.  The Bible Study will meet on Sunday 23rd April, and not Easter Sunday as publicised in the newsletter.

Saturday 29th Apr – Soup Lunch. Wilson Memorial Church at 12 noon.  Run by our Church School in aid of the United Free Church Easter Scheme.  Come along and be served a tasty soup lunch by the children of our Church School.  Cost £3 per person.

Sunday 30th April – Elder Service.  Our regular Sunday Service, with a difference.  Our Church Elders will be running this entire service from start to finish.

You just missed it :

Easter Services – there was a great turnout for our Easter Services on Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday Sunrise.  These all lead up to the special Easter Sunday Family Service and Communion, which was enjoyed by all.  During the service, the congregation created a flowering cross of remembrance by decorating our Church cross with daffodils.  A photograph of the daffodil cross will be posted shortly.

Easter Egg Hunt – 3kg of chocolate eggs were hidden (more like strewn around) inside the Church.  Everybody enjoyed a great time collecting up and eating these eggs after the service.
