Please support our Basics Bank

Every Tuesday our Basics Bank helps local people who are experiencing financial crisis.  During the Covid-19 pandemic, we have been able to remain open and operate as normal, providing this essential lifeline for the community.

Unfortunately the Covid-19 lockdown has also meant that more individuals and families are suffering hardship, and as a result our stocks for several aid products are running low.

  • Tinned potatoes
  • Sugar
  • Breakfast cereals
  • Toilet rolls
  • Toothpaste
  • Shower gel
  • Shampoo
  • Soap

We also need strong carrier bags (preferably the “Bag for life” kind, as these are stronger.

Please don’t stop regular donations, as these are the “life-blood” that keeps the Basics Bank open, and helping so many people.

Donations can be dropped off at Wilson Memorial Church (Kekewich Avenue entrance) on Sunday afternoons between 2:00pm and 4:00pm, or on Tuesday mornings between 10:00am and 1:00pm.  Please knock loudly, and respect social distancing.

Thankyou very much to everyone who contributes to the Basics Bank.  We are run entirely by volunteers, and are funded 100% by donations.
