Our Spring 2020 season of film screenings has got off to a great start, and there’s more to be seen…. All with free admission

17th January 2020, 6:30pm

A Golden Globe and Bafta award winning film tracking Laurel and Hardy’s attempt to re-ignite their career by touring the theatre halls of Great Britain in the 1950’s.

Certificate PG.  This film was released nationally in 2019.

21st February 2020, 6:30pm

The story of wealthy quadriplegic who needs a caretaker to help him with day to day life, and hires a struggling parolee for the job.  Two very different worlds collide, and a unique friendship is formed.

20th March 2020, 6:30pm

Mary Stuart, Queen of France at age 16, widowed at age 18, returns home to Scotland to reclaim her throne: a rival to Queen Elizabeth.  She strives with court conspiracy, rebellion and the difficult choices these bring.

A triple Oscar winning film, about a working class Italian American bouncer who becomes the driver of an African-American classical pianist on a two month long concert tour of the American Deep South in the 1960’s.

A cynical London music executive heads to the Cornish coast and signs a group of sea-shanty singing fishermen, and gets drawn into a way of life where community and friendship count for more than fame and fortune.

Our film screenings are shown in the small hall, where they are projected cinema style onto a large screen.  Just like a big multiplex, but much more friendly.  Complimentary tea and coffee will be available after the film, but sorry we don’t have hot dogs for sale.
