Every carol tells THE story

This Sunday 18th December is the Fourth Sunday of Advent 2022.  Please come along and join us as Rev Mike leads us through our annual family carol service at 10:30am (doors will be open from 10:15am).  For everyone’s safety, we continue to strictly follow the Scottish Governments social distancing guidelines, and have hand sanitiser stations for your use.

This weeks order of worship that you can use:

• Light a candle – We light the advent candle of love to remember that Christ is the light of the world, and overcomes every darkness.
• Opening praise –  “Love is a flame” – Here is a You-Tube video with music and words that you can sing along to:

• Scripture reading – Matthew 1:18-25
• Sermon – “Every carol tells THE story”  – This weeks sermon was not recorded, but we hope you enjoy singing along to the carols.  These were all chosen by our congregation.
• Carol  – “Silent night”
• Prayer – We greet your coming
• Carol – “Hark the Herald Angels”
• Carol – “Away in a manger”
• Carol – “Once in Royal David’s city”
• Carol – “O come all ye faithful
• Prayers of the people
• Carol – “While shepherds watched”
• Benediction 
• Extinguish the candle

After the service this week, we invite everyone to stay for a delicious Christmas lunch.  Before the lunch we hope everyone will join in a sing-song of a slightly different version of “Jingle Bells”.  Here is a you-tube video to watch and listen to

• 7pm, 24th December: Christmas Eve service of carols and lessons – this will be held via Zoom
• 10am, 25th December: Christmas morning service – this will be in the small hall.  Please wear your Christmas jumper.
